Photography and Videoing Policy


Following advice from Hampshire Local Education Authority, in line with the Data Protection Act and following years of such practice, the Governors have agreed that it will be school policy to allow parents, family and friends of the school to photograph and video school events such as plays, assemblies and performances. This will apply so long as parents, family and friends have been invited to the school event and the subsequent pictures and videos are intended for family, private and school use only.

The school will not seek individual permission from parents for their children to be videoed/photographed during any such performances.

Public viewing of any such performance by video or photography will not be allowed in line with the Data Protection Act.

To respect Church of England practice and law, videoing and photography will not be allowed at any of the services that the school attend at Christ Church.



This policy was agreed by Governors in January 2003
