Photographers in 'The News'

Pupils' picture perfect portraits was the headline in The News on Monday 5th June 2006

The article read;

A GROUP of snap-happy children have been chronicling life at their school - and were rewarded with their own exhibition.

Youngsters from Newtown Primary School, Queens Road, Gosport have been photographing the things they think are best in their school.

When the light was perfect and they spotted something they liked, they whipped out cameras to record the images.

Snaps of children in the library and the gardening cluband youngsters were displayed in The Photo Gallery, Stoke Road, Gosport.

Teacher Jenny Wedick said: 'They are really thrilled. They have learned a lot about photography and they have really enjoyed it.'

The pupils took around 200 photographs over the corse of the project.

Mrs Wedick added: 'It just shows the whole life of our school really. We are very proud of it.'
